Article: Creativity as an Act of Resistance

Creativity as an Act of Resistance

The world is gripped by conflict. And I believe that now, more than ever, is exactly the time to speak of peace — and to never stop doing so.

Peace is conceived before it is built. Like any work of art, it begins in the mind before it takes shape — in the imagination of those who refuse to accept the world as it is as the only world possible.

That is the heart of this campaign. And that is what Jean-Charles de Castelbajac brings to life by drawing our dove by hand, in the film shot at the Bourdelle Museum with Baptiste Maureau. Watching him make that gesture, I understood why I had wanted to create this campaign with him, and no one else.

When I founded 3.PARADIS, I didn't simply want to make clothes. I wanted to create something that carries a conviction — a space where fashion asserts a vision of the world rather than merely following it. The dove was there from the very beginning for that reason. Not as a motif, but as a stance.

Believing in a better world, and giving it form through creation. That is what I have believed since day one. That is what I want to keep standing for.
Jean-Charles understands this instinctively. It is what made our meeting feel so natural, and our friendship so inevitable. When he walked for us in June 2025, I knew immediately that something greater was being born. I felt that certainty — that Jean-Charles and I share not only an aesthetic, but a way of seeing things. Jean-Charles has moved through decades of fashion without ever losing his soul. He has always believed that to create is a way of affirming what you stand for, of resisting what you refuse to accept.

This campaign reflects the convictions of 3.PARADIS, given life through friendship and carried by a talented team. I am proud of what we built together, and I can't wait for you to see it.
